The first of our 2 summer concerts took place at Tilton on the Hill. Our programme was full of very varied pieces of music - from Karl Jenkins to Elton John, with a medley from West Side Story thrown in for good measure, which kept Simon, our MD, on his toes and Paul, our accompanist, totting up some extra steps moving from keyboard to organ and back again! We also sang Moon River, Skye Boat Song and Sway, arrangements done by Simon and Paul.
The concert raised £460 for the Bell Tower Fund. The Church were delighted with the concert and fed back to us
"what a lovely concert it was and how priviledged they felt having such quality in a village Church"
We enjoyed the concert at Tilton on the Hill so much that we repeated it all again at St Michael and All Angels Church in Thurmaston.
The Thurmaston concert, a new venue for the Chorale and postponed for four years thanks to COVID, was supported by a large and very enthusiastic audienence, despite the gloomy and damp night. The 'Thank you' letter from them says to all
We raised £568, what an amazing amount and that is all thanks to you and the "WONDERFUL RATCLIFFE CHORALE......."
